The stand is one of four remaining stands and 7,000 sq meters in size. Its located on a ridge with views of the Drakensberg mountains. There are no neighbouring stands giving it maximum privacy. There are several interesting trees such as Euphorbia, shepherds tree, corkwood and Rock fig. In addition to the trees there are also interesting rocky outcrops on the stand.

The reserve is 2,500ha in size and has only 54 stands. There is an excellent network of game drive roads and several dams on the property. On Giraffe dam is a bird hide and it’s a very productive game viewing and birding spot. There are picnic locations in the reserve and even a camping out location for those wanting a wild experience. A special feature is that there is 4.7 kilometres of Olifants River frontage on Lissataba with available space to walk and picnic. Lissataba is truly one of the more interesting and special nature reserves in the Hoedspruit area. It appeals to people who like to walk and explore on foot or bike since they do not have the Big 5 and it has many interesting features you can explore.
