My love for East Tennessee began as a kid in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park following the heels of my grandparents up and down these beautiful mountains. Even today, you will often find me on the trails in the Smokies, finally working on my first map to earn my spot in the 900 Miler Club. When I'm not exploring nature, I enjoy kayaking, cycling, gardening, home design, and travel. From the heights of Kilimanjaro (Tanzania) to the coast of the Pacific Northwest, I have found East Tennessee to hold such a unique beauty that never ceases to amaze and inspire me.
